What is Hanukah?

Hanukkah, which means “dedication” in Hebrew.  Hanukkah, also called the Festival of Lights, celebrates the Maccabean Revolt (167-160 BCE), and the narrative that Jewish rebel Judas Maccabeus vanquished the evil Greek emperor Antiochus and rededicated the Temple.

Why Celebrate it?

A time of re-dedication, a lovely reminder that we are the temple

When is it?

Chanukah is an 8 day fesitval starting on the 25th of Kislev, in 2019 it starts on the Evening of 22 December
