“ADONAI said to Moshe, “Tell the people of Isra’el, ‘On the fifteenth day of this seventh month is the feast of Sukkot for seven days to ADONAI.  On the first day is to be a holy convocation; do not do any kind of ordinary work. For seven days you are to bring an offering made by fire to ADONAI; on the eighth day you are to have a holy convocation and bring an offering made by fire to ADONAI; it is a day of public assembly; do not do any kind of ordinary work.” (Leviticus 23:33-36)

Shalom and welcome to parsha in 60 seconds today’s portion is a bonus round sukkot.  Sukkot is the concluding festival in the days of after rosh hashanah yom kippur and now sukkot if you like building and living in a fort sukkot is for you it means booths or tabernacles and it is also known as the feast of tabernacles, In ancient times Hebrews were commanded to make a pilgrimage to the temple in Jerusalem the people were to dwell in temporary booths and thank God for providing for them many Jewish people still build booths today and live in them all week.  Special blessings are given with the use of a lulav and an etrog here are some instructions on how to shake a lulav.
